I love antiques and Shabby Chic!

My boyfriend's father use to own an antique mall.. how lucky am I??? He comes home all the time from visits with cool pieces like these two glass pieces. I put them on my new table with matching chairs on top of my favorite decorating books: Shabby Chic by Rachel Ashwell!

Where to put Throws/ Quilts

I know you might think eww.. but I found this ladder on the side of the street.. instead of paying over a hundred dollars at potterybarn for a ladder to store your throws.. go to a yard sale or better yet look in the garage for an old ladder!

What to do with all those books!

My roommate is so creative... we love to feed off of each other with ideas! She took my old ladder that I used to display jewelry on and turn it into a cool shelf in our living room! If you have tons of books... instead of stacking them of a shelf place them in cool areas around the house.. put a picture frame on top of them and add some tiny ceramic pieces or even glass! She even rolled up a colorful quilt and stored it on the back of the ladder!

More Beach House Decorations

You can even put smaller shells into bigger shells!

I think there is a spot everywhere in every house for a small woven basket!

I am crazy about getting antique printers boxes and putting shells from all over the world in the tiny spaces!

Creative Ideas for the Beach House

People always want to go out and get cute things from the store to brighten up a beach house.. why not just go to the beach. I have been an avid shell collector since I was a child. Pick up shells, seaglass and even that really cool drift wood to decorate your home. I love putting shells inside antique ball jars!

The beginning

Two years ago I started my jewelry company, Reborn Designs and over these years I have realized my passion for other areas in the arts. My love for photography, decorating and designing, antiquing and even special events such as weddings. I decided to start a blog to show everyone the ideas that flow through me each and everyday. I hope that putting these out there will eventually take me to the next step in my life.
